1. What is included in the standard package? What are the
optional add-on's? (top)
Our standard package includes all hardware, software, system and installation,
plus a five-year subscription to alfaxMedia contents and services. It also
includes broadband connection for the five-year subscription period.
You may also use the broadband connection for internet and e-mail.
Optional add-ons include: upgrade to 30" wide-screen HDTV LCD or an additional 20" LCD screen.
We can install these add-ons so that they face outside pedestrian traffic.
Please contact us for more information on pricing and payment options. We
offer subsidies to selected doctors and dentists to subsidize their purchase of
The Waiting Room Channel. Please contact us to determine if you
are eligible for subsidies.
2. What can I expect from alfaxMedia during my subscription
period? (top)
Despite our extensive research and development investment on hardware and software development, we
consider our core business to be media content, NOT system operation. We are
continuously investing in new programs, and we are actively collaborating with government agencies, non-profit
organizations, and professional production agencies to develop health programs with high educational value.
3. How should I integrate The Waiting Room Channel into my office routines?
(top)
You can browse and preview hundreds of health education programs online, and you can select topics that are directly relevant to your practice and your patients. You can create
personalized presentations to display information about your practice (e.g., office hours, services and rates, upcoming holidays, etc.). You can also create customized presentations to introduce yourself and your medical team. The
interface for program selection and editing is extremely user-friendly, and new content is updated on a daily basis.
4. Where do you source your programs? (top)
We develop some of our programs in-house and we also source from third-party
providers (locally and internationally). All programs obtained from third-party
providers are licensed under legitimate copyright agreements.
The programming mix of The Waiting Room Channel was developed based on scientific testing and extensive market research. We only choose high quality programs. Our team of medical advisers makes sure that our programs are accurate, informative and interesting. We also welcome recommendations from doctors and dentists on new program topics. As a subscriber, you are encouraged to submit program ideas or even participate in the content development process. Please contact us for additional information.
5. What happens to my Waiting Room Channel when I move my business location?
(top)
We will move and re-install it for you free of charge. Please inform us as soon as possible so we can schedule a time to assist you with your relocation.
